The cosmetics giant has enlisted Citi to explore options such as a sale or spinoff, signaling a pivot toward its more profitable fragrance and skincare segments.
The MOVE comes as Coty's mass beauty business faces pressure from cheaper online competitors. The company will evaluate its $1.2 billion color cosmetics portfolio, which also includes Rimmel and Sally Hansen, potentially reshaping its brand architecture to focus on premium offerings.
